Many boomers may be unaware that once they turn 60 they may receive free tuition from their state. This may include fee waivers, tuition, and application fees.

States that Offer $0 Tuition for Seniors

Each state has its own rules in regards to boomers’ education, but these eleven states waive tuition for seniors attending public universities. You must be over 60 (62 in some states) and there must be space in the program to receive the tuition waiver (as well as other rules may apply). In some of the following states they will also cover all fees that apply for seniors continuing their education. Here are the states that offer free tuition for seniors in certain situations:
