Anthem California Plan G is now available! As of March 1, 2017, Medicare beneficiaries in CA can purchase Medigap Plan G from Anthem Blue Cross. Plan G covers everything that Plan F covers except the annual Part B deductible (which is $240). Both Plan F and G cover Part B excess charges, and many times the Plan G rate is less than its counterpart, Plan F. Anthem Medigap in CA also covers Silver Sneakers, the free/discounted fitness program.

We expect that more companies will offer Plan G in the coming months as Plan F and C will no longer be available after 2020. Some providers are currently not advertising that they will be offering plan G.
