Medicare suggests getting the following shots to protect your immune system:
- Flu Shot: Covered once a year in fall or winter
- Hepatitis B Shot: Covered for high to medium risk persons (usually a series of 3 shots)
- Pneumococcal Shot: Given usually once in a lifetime
