Most People Get Medicare at 65

With the exception of persons under 65 on disability or with End Stage Renal Disease, most people will enroll in Medicare at 65.

Medicare Part A is hospitalization coverage and Medicare Part B is medical insurance. Original Medicare has a nationwide network of doctors and hospitals, covers you in most cases however it can leave large medical bills if you have a serious illness. Click here to see Medicare rates.

Medigap Fills in Gaps of Medicare

Due to Medicare’s base coverage Medigap is offered to fill in the gaps. Medigap is technically called Medicare Supplement insurance and it covers out of pocket costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover. A few of the things that Medigap covers is deductibles, coinsurance, copays, as well as it extends hospitalization.

Anything Else?

Walk thirty minutes a day, try yoga, eat your veggies, and drink lots of water. An apple a day, doesn’t hurt either if you’re trying to keep the doctor away.
