As you know we get lots of calls regarding Medicare and there are no shortage of people letting us know that Medicare is overly confusing.  We get this! This is why we started Senior65.com so we can help people make sense of Medicare and Medicare insurance. I recently read a poll that 60% of seniors find medicare confusing.  What the poll didn’t explain is what area of Medicare do people wish were more straight forward to understand. Please take our ONE QUESTIONS POLL below to let us know your thoughts.

What is the most confusing part of understanding Medicare?
Learning what Part A and B Cover

I want to pay the least possible insurance premiums. What is the absolute minimum - is it the required Part B? Can I pay for that and be done?

Stephen,
If you are looking for the absolute minimum you technically don't even have to pay for part B. With just Part A you would have about 80% of your cost covered by Medicare at the hospital after you paid the deductible. But without B there will be no reimbursement of your cost if you see treatment outside of the hospital.

If you are looking for the smartest way to keep your cost down but maintain coverage at doctors and hospitals, we suggest investigating a Medicare Advantage(MA) plan. You would still have to pay your part B premium but there zero premium MA plans that include drugs, caps your cost and protects your wealth. If you need help figuring it out, give us a call.

I love the poll. But the part I find most confusing is which Medigap plan to choose. Could you add some details on which one is right for us seniors?

Ryan,
So glad you like the poll! And, absolutely, happy to help. You'll want to check out our Medigap comparison chart, as well as read why Medigap Plan F and G might be right for you. To learn more about plans please call one of our licensed independent insurance agents at 800-930-7956.
