Easy as 1, 2, 3 approach to Medicare launches January 16, 2014

Senior65.com has set its official launch date for January 16, 2014. While the site Senior65.com dedicated to “Making Sense of Medicare” has been posting blog articles in preparation for it’s launch, January 16th marks the date when the site now provides a clear step-by-step approach to understanding medicare and real-time medicare insurance quotes and applications.

Can Medicare be as Easy at 1, 2, 3?

Senior65.com is a website designed to help Seniors easily navigate Medicare and Medicare Insurance. For anyone who has ever turned 65 and tried to make sense of the 152 page Medicare and You official booklet, this is no easy task. But after months of research, co-founders Chris Mihm and Eric Scheinbaum learned that Medicare can easily be broken down into three easy steps:

Step 1: Medicare: Sign up for Medicare Part A and B (at the right time).
Step 2: Medicare Insurance: Learn if Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement (Medigap) is right for you.
Step 3: Prescriptions: Find a solution for your Rx needs.

With this information, the two launched a site as straightforward and useful as possible. According to Chris Mihm, “We created Senior65.com because when our parents were turning 65, they were overwhelmed by the amount of information and misinformation out there. Once we got to the bones of it, Medicare and Medicare Insurance is pretty simple.”

Seniors are Ready for Technology Solutions

Senior65.com is a completely online solution and the website is designed to work on a desktop, laptop, tablet or even a smartphone. Eric Scheinbaum pointed out, “It’s a myth that seniors are technophobic and want to do everything in-person or on-paper. Our customers have spent the last 20 years working on computers and expect to navigate Medicare online as well.” In addition to providing online tools and real-time insurance quotes, the team at Senior65.com is working with Blue Shield of CA to create one of the first online Medigap applications.
