Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Network of Michigan (BCN) offers senior supplemental plans called MyBlue Medigap℠. While you must purchase this coverage in the state of Michigan, MyBlue Medigap coverage is accepted nationwide with any health care provider that accepts Medicare. These plans are designed to cover all the gaps not covered under original Medicare. Blue Cross of Michigan will coordinate payment with Medicare and your health care providers.
Currently the Blue Care Network offers the following federally regulated plans: A, F, M or N only. We will explain what is covered below. Plan A is the most basic Medigap plan where plan F is the most comprehensive. Plan M and N are more comprehensive than A but less than F and are priced accordingly.
If you apply to Blue Cross during Medigap open enrollment (within 6 months of signing up for part B Medicare) you are guaranteed to be approved at the best rate regardless of your health. If you have missed open enrollment, Blue Care will look at your zipcode, age, gender, height, weight, health status and smoking history to determine your monthly premium.
These are age attained plans so your plan can increase in price as you age. They can also increase (or decrease) your monthly fee if you move into a different rating area.

I am a disabled woman and currently receiving Medicare parts A and B. I am also set up with Silverscript to get my pharmaseuticals. I am only 60 years old, however, and new to the State of Michigan. I would like to apply for Medigap to cover the "donut-hole" gap in my coverage. I will most likely be getting a hip replacement soon, so I need to sign up before that happens. Could I get an application to fill in without so much time spent comparing plans? It is my understanding that I have very few options, given that I am only 60 years of age. Thanks! Jolene.
